House Guest

We have a new house guest for two weeks, April's Chihuahua Lola.

Heather's sister, Peter, Kayla, and Sophie have gone to Portugal for a wedding so we have the pleasure of watching Lola. Lola doesn't seem to like me too much. She bit me a couple of times while trying to help her up the stairs of the deck. She only drew a little bit of blood. She is not my favorite dog at the moment. She doesn't leave the cage unless Heather is home, "What have I done to you, Lola?”

Here is a mini pet cemetery picture. It's not as good as the real thing once you pick up the camera Bogey comes to life.

For those of you who do not know, "My name is Geoff and I'm addicted to golf." I had a great day yesterday; I took the afternoon off from work and played golf at the Course at Yale. I became a member this year and it's been great. I played with the lowest handicap player at the club (a really nice guy) and two of the funniest guys I've every been paired up with. I must be getting better because I shot 77 with three doubles and I felt like I sprayed the ball all over the place. My scrambling would have made Phil Mickelson proud. It really didn't matter because it may have been the most fun I've had playing all year.

Family Lunch

This past Sunday we went to my parent’s house to have lunch with them and Vicky, Becca, Richie. It was really nice to see everyone (unfortunately Rich had to work so we didn’t get to see him).

Here is a pic of Auntie Heather with Richie (I think Heather wants a baby of her own)

Becca is definately Nana's little girl.

Richie and I relaxing after lunch.

After lunch Becca went into the backyard with us. She was hitting golf balls but was a real star on the basketball court. She stole the ball from Dad (and then sat on it).

Then she shook me and drove to the hole.

She hung on the rim for a little bit to mock me.

We all had a great time and meal. Thanks Mom and Dad for having us over.

Also, here is the picture of my new car, I promised.

Bang!!!!

Every morning is somewhat of a circus at our house. Heather and I usually make lunch to take to work. Most of the time we make salads, while chopping up cucumbers and tomatoes we’ll hear a big ***FLUMP*** and this is what we see

Bogey knows a few tricks and her favorite is playing dead, as seen above. She knows that when she plays dead she gets a treat; this is her way of begging. Sandi is much more sophisticated, she just sulks in the corner until you cave to the sad puppy dog eyes.

I’ll have to see if I can get pictures of what we call the “pet cemetery”. This is usually occurs between 9-11 am. It’s the time after Sandi and Bogey have gone outside, eaten, and played a little bit. They are then tired and lie on the floor in the sunlight together. With all the animal bodies on floor, it looks like a pet cemetery.

Entering the Blogging World

Well, I finally decided to breakdown and enter the world of blogging. I'm not promising anything as wonderful as my sister Vicky's blog. She is the blog queen. I'm actually addicted to her blogs, I check them pretty much first thing everyday. It's my Nana's Birthday today, so Happy Birthday Nana! I actually called to wish her a Happy Birthday yesterday. She had a very eventful day, going to Ely and having a nice full lunch and cream tea. My parents, Heather, and I were in England this time last year to help celebrate Nana's 80th Birthday. I can't believe that it's been a year already. The big event this past weekend was the purchase of a new car, a 2007 Honda Civic EX. Here is an image,

I'll take a picture and post it in the near future. My old Grand Am was having some issues. The head gasket was leaking and it was finally time to let her go. The 2001 Grand Am was the first car I every owned. I got 121,000 miles out of it, so it was good to me.
