We just got back from our vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. We had a great time. The weather was great if you like hot and humid. The coolest day we had was 92*. It was nice to have the ocean, a pool, and an ocean breeze. Like every vacation it wasn't long enough.
Kenny and Mom wading in the water.
A look down the OC beach and boardwalk.
Kenny getting to jump waves with Dad.
"Mom, I got something on my hands!"
Kenny beginning to realize that dumping sand on his head is not a good idea.
Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there. Here is why Father's Day is great for me.
"Happy Father's Day Dad!"
"OK, Dad it's Father's Day; I'll laugh at your silly jokes. Ha Ha Ha."
"Hey, remember this day doesn't happen without me. Let's get me some yogurt or sausage. Pronto."
I'll give you three guesses as to what Kenny is saying here and the first two don't count. If you spend much time around Kenny and a TV you know that he is saying, "Shooooowwww!" He loves his show (Yo Gabba Gabba).
My Father's Day card was a singing card. When I opened it Bogey was doing the whole Pug head thing (cocking her head back and forth like she was trying to figure out what was going on). We tried capturing that a second time but to no avail. Someone decided to be a scene stealer.
Tuesday was a big day for my Dad, he finally got his retirement present. We got Dad a Trackman tour fitting for his woods and a new driver. It was a beautiful day and Dad got to hit a lot of equipment and he eventually found the right club for him. He hit a few hundred balls and it was determined that a Mizuno MP 630 9.5* Driver with a 45.5" Fujikura Motore 55S Shaft tipped 1/4" with a Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord grip and one wrap of tape was all he needed.
Is that Ernie Els or Freddie Couples? No, Ken Lyon!
This is the golf trailer that they had at the fitting. I could have so much fun in this place building new clubs for myself (or anyone else).
I just got a new phone and I loves it. I figured out how to download videos and TV shows onto my phone. Do you think Kenny likes it?
Give Kenny ten minutes alone with his toys and this is what happens, Hurricane Kenny. This is my first blog from my new cellphone - the Evo. It's really cool but blogging is ten times easier with a computer.
Kenny had a bath tonight. He loves playing in the tub but hates getting out.
Kenny and I went to lunch with my parents the other day. Kenny likes going to Friendly's with Nana and Granddad. Nana, Granddad, hotdog, apples, and ice-cream - what's not to like?
Here is a picture of Kenny enjoying his chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream (I had to help him with it though).
You can't take Nana anywhere. Notice her hand covering her shirt? She spilled Strawberry sauce on herself. Can you believe Kenny had less food on himself at the end of the meal than Nana?
Kenny saw another little boy who was 11-months old. Kenny did not know what to make of him. He stared at him a lot and was leery of him. Kenny doesn't trust people who are smaller than him.
Well, we haven't blogged in quite awhile. We just haven't had anything nearly as exciting as my parents to blog about. They spent two weeks in paradise, otherwise know as Hawaii. I'm having a little trouble putting all their pictures in order on the blog, but here are some pictures form their wonderful trip. I'm glad they had a great time, they deserved it.
I guess people get adventurous when they are on vacation. I would have never believed my mom went zip-lining without picture proof.
Dad also spent time on a couple of golf courses. If I every go I think Heather will have a hard time getting me off these courses. They look absolutely magnificent.
At first I though I put a picture of Mom and Dad punting in Cambridge in the slide show by accident. Then I noticed that some of the people around them were very tan, it was sunny, and everyone was wearing leis. You could see how I might be confused. (I love punting in Cambridge, by the way.)
