Baptize That Baby!

Kenny finally had his baptism this past Sunday. It was delayed once for weather. It was a really neat baptism. Pastor George incoporate Kenny's baptism with the children's message. The children helped Pator George bless the water and he told a little story about the things needed for baptism and what it means. We've never had a baptism incorporte into the children's message at our church before. Kenny's godparents are April and Carl. Carl was obviously not able to attend because he is studying hard at med school. Heather's dad was able to stand in for Carl.

Here are some pictures from the happy event.

Thanks to my sister for providing some of the pictures. We were so busy we didn't get to take that many ourselves.

Here are a couple of video clips my Dad was able to take for us.

And as an aside here are some pictures that should make Carl laugh. Carl is a litle stressed at the moment with school so I'm sure he could use a laugh.

This is funny on just so many levels.

Introducing the New Michellin Tire Baby

Now from these next two photos I think you could say he'd be perfect to be the model for the Michellin Man's son. Just look at all those natural rolls. Kenny wouldn't need any prosthetics.

Today I have my hands full of a very grumpy, teething baby. Nothing is right, he is in his swing crying to the music. I know he needs a nap, but won't fall asleep. I know when I watch too much Charmed on TV, when on this mornings episode they had sleeping powder, and I was listening for the ingredients. Like I could make it myself. Ho Hum, just some wishful thinking.:)

Baby Updates

Everyday I'm amazed by how quickly my little baby is growing and learning. Kenny is starting to belly crawl backwards, and getting up on his hands and knees. We think he'll be crawling before my birthday. Also this week Kenny got his first tooth breaking through. I don't know when I would have noticed it if Auntie April hadn't pointed it out to me. Kenny was spending a couple hours a day there the past two weeks, while I helped out the cleaners with a delivery route. It was a little weird doing my old job again, after a year removed from it. Needless to say, getting up early, and sometimes, working late that same night at Walmart, got me a bit worn out. I'm glad that it is over. I think Kenny thought I was a blur for those 3 1/2 weeks, only seeing me in the early morning, and a little mid day, and I was gone again till morning. Poor baby. I'm glad he wont remember it. Here are some pictures from the past week.

Kenny in the bear snow suit. The only piece of clothing that keeps him stationary. He had a very hard time rolling, or even grabbing his feet in it.

Mom look how strong I am!

Here is how he sleeps when we put him in his crib, either wedged up against the side like so, or he flips directly to his belly. There is usually a big drool spot when he wakes up.

And lastly, this is a cute video of Kenny tonight, when I got home from work. I don't know i he knows to shake his head no, or if he just learned his head moves that way. Either way it gives us a good laugh.

Hungry, Hungry, Baby!

If you have seen Kenny lately you know that he is not underfed by any means. But the people at the mall must have thought we starve him. As we were walking through the mall this is what Kenny started doing.

I guess we didn't feed him enough.

This past Sunday we had a snow storm that delayed Kenny's christening. He'll be christened on January 25th instead. The weather turned out not to be that bad and we all went to a late lunch at Chili's. We tried feeding Kenny corn casserole which made him gag. It was funny he would eat his oatmeal but as soon as he got a mouthful of the corn casserole he made this wretching/gagging face. It was the first time we tried giving him corn casserole. We tried again later and he did better with it.

No talking with your mouth full!

How can a baby that can't feed himself, make such a mess at dinner time? Click on the video below. Sorry for the shaky cam, but I was filming, feeding and cracking up all at the same time.

The first photo has Kenny's new face that he now makes all the time. He sucks in the top lip and pushes out the bottom one for maximum pouty lip. It is so adorable.:)

Happy New Year!

We would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.

I thought I should post a picture of what Santa left us under our tree:

Kenny is almost crawling as you can see from this photo. I put him down on his play mat while I was putting away the groceries and this is where he ended up. He's not crawling but scooting backwards. It's funny to watch him want something only to push in self in the opposite direction.

Kenny's favorite gift for Christmas was wrapping paper. Apparently it tastes very good.

On Christmas Richie was helping me take some pictures. Here is the first one that he took:

His second one came out a little better

And the third was the best

I like this picture of Mike - I call it the Superman pose

The one thing I know is that all grandkids are really spoiled by their grandparents on Christmas. Kenny has more toys and clothes than he knows what to do with. The good part is that we won't have to do laundry for Kenny for quite awhile.
