Busy Saturday

This past Saturday we had some yard work done. Can you tell what it was?

How about now?

Yep, we had the very large tree that dropped acorns on Heather's car removed. It was amazing how many acorns were in the tree. It would have been a bad fall for Heather's car if we didn't have it taken down. We must have raked up over a 100-pounds of acorns once the tree was down.

They took this tree down near where I park my car at work. Do you think it had some problems? I'm glad I never parked my car beneath it.

We also went to Grandpa's to celebrate his 60th Birthday. Happy Birthday Grandpa!
Kenny loved playing with his cousins and eating ice cream cake.

How to Entertain Kenny

Last week when it was really hot, we were trying to find some ways to entertain Kenny. We found a couple of good ones. I took some videos with my camera but it took me this long to figure out how to change the video orientation so you didn't have to watch these laying down.

The first thing we did was go to my favorite store, The Homedepot, where Kenny decided to play with the water features in the garden area. I was tempted to play in the water with Kenny, when it's 95* and humid it's not much fun to be outside.

Then we went to Bob's to buy some shoes. Kenny had so much fun running around the store. I eventually got tired of chasing him while Heather was looking for clothes. So I brought Kenny over to the belts. Kenny loves playing with belts. I took a brief video but Kenny played with the belts for 25+ minutes.

Kenny's Two!

Kenny just turned two years old (June 26th). Kenny had his birthday party on July 3rd. Kenny had a much better time this year than last year. We had this year's party after his nap instead of during prime napping time like we did last year.

Kenny's favorite part of his party was not the cake but the cars on the cake "Ahh Hoo!"

Do we have the only kid that doesn't like cake? He doesn't know what he is missing. Nana was feeding him ice cream and then tried to sneak a little cake in with some ice cream. Kenny refused to take anything else from Nana the rest of the day. How dare she try to sneak me that vile cake.

Richie sneaking some frosting.

"I like cars."

Ice cream and watermelon, what a birthday.

Sofia enjoying the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

Vicky in full paparazzi mode.

Becca teaching all the kids that it's cool to stick your bum in the sprinkler. What are you teaching your kids Vick?

"Wow, that looks cold."

"Yep, that's cold."

Kenny is now officially swimming in toys. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend. We had a great time and hope you did also.

Cirque Du Soleil

Here are some pictures from Father's Day. Heather and I went to Cirque Du Soleil on Father's Day. It was out anniversary present to each other. We saw the show called Ovo. Like every Cirque show it was outstanding. I highly recommend seeing it if you have the opportunity.

Few Lost Pics from OC

I found a few extra pictures from out trip to Ocean City I thought I would share.

"Oooo, water."

Kenny and Mom hanging out on the boardwalk.

Jaws at the "Ripely's Believe It or Not" Exhibit

Kenny and a lion statue

Ummm, Boog's BBQ - reminds me of the Original Boog's at Camden Yards.

The world's longest golf cart bridge. It was at one of the courses I played while we were in OC - the Links at Lighthouse Sound.

A picture of one of my new favorite courses - War Admiral. The course was named after the race horse. I didn't know that Maryland had a history of raising great race horses. There are two golf courses on the same property called War Admiral and Man O'War. They are named after the horses that were raised on the property that went on to win many races including the Triple Crown. The stables were converted into the pro shop and restaurant.

It almost felt like playing at Yale. The had deer everywhere just like Yale, even though it was 98* out and humid.

This was the restaurant/bar that reportedly had Justin Bieber drinking underage at it the week before we got to OC. Justin Bieber turned out to be a 28-year old girl who was a regular.

Really someone could have mistaken him for a 28-year old girl?

4th of July on the 5th

I had Monday off for the 4th of July Holiday. It was a very hot day like yesterday so we didn't do much other than try to stay in the air conditioner. We did stop by Stew Leonard's for lunch. It's one of Kenny's favorite places to eat lunch. They have a loft area upstairs where you can sit and eat. Kenny likes the window he can look out and see all the cars. During the whole meal all we heard was "Ahh Ho" which translate in Kenny language as car. We don't know where Ahh Ho came from. He also now says "Whass Ha" for truck. We know that Whass Ha comes from Heather asking Kenny "What's That" when they see a truck.

"Ummm, I like pizza."

"Ooo Ho!"

Kenny using Momma as a chair.

Is it hot?

I couldn't believe how hot it was yesterday. When I got in my car to come home my thermometer was at 99*. On the way home the thermometer went up to 102*. This is something you don't see everyday. It was so hot outside that Kenny actually didn't want to play outside. Heather brought him out in the morning and after a few minutes he started to climb up the stairs to go back inside.

Heather said, "Don't you want to play outside for a little bit?"
Kenny said his new favorite word, "Nooooo."
