Day at the Beach

This past Thursday Heather and I had the day off. We had a very nice relaxing day at the beach. It was nice, sunny, and warm. We walked around the beach for a bit and Heather didn't even get burnt. We had a picnic lunch and sat in the sun for a little bit. It was warm but not really warm enough for swimming. There were a few brave souls that braved the cold water.

We went to the outlet stores after spending a few hours at the beach. Heather was able to find a nice outfit that can accommodate her belly which is still growing. After shopping we went to Foxwoods, not to gamble but to eat. We went to our second favorite hamburger joint, Fuddruckers.

We indulged in dessert at one of Heather’s favorite places Ben and Jerry’s. We weren’t too gluttonous; we split a small dish of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Mmmm, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, ahhhhhhhhh (Insert your own Homer Simpson voice here).
We didn't even gamble. What a great trip to the casino, it only cost us about $30, when is the last time you went to the casino and only spent $30?

I also wanted to share a picture of something I think is very interesting, an albino squirrel. This squirrel is amazing. It lives on the 4th hole of the Yale Golf Course and there are tons of Red Tail hawks around. How this squirrel hasn't become a snack yet is just insane. Sorry for the poor camera phone pic.

Birthday Party! Woo-Hoo!

This past Saturday was Kayla’s 4th Birthday. We went over April and Peter’s house for a BBQ/party. There was a bunch of people there Heather’s Dad and Pat, Heather’s Mom and Tom. I got more parenting practice with Sofia and Kayla. Every time I see Kayla at her house she asks me to push her on her swing.

I decided to turn the tables and told Kayla I wouldn’t push her anymore until I got a turn.

Kayla’s favorite birthday gift was a Barbie motorized car. She has not quite worked out all the finer points of driving. She was running into stuff and not taking her foot off the gas pedal. She also got her first DUI. Her driver’s license has been suspended for 4-months.

I also got to play with two dogs Rocky the Pug and Lola the Chihuahua. Lola seems to be ok as long as she is not staying over our house. I was petting Lola and Rocky while sitting in a lawnchair. Rocky liked me so much that he marked me as his own. That's right he left a little present on my shorts that April was nice enough to wash for me. Rocky is not my favorite pug at the moment.

Baby Update

Heather had another sonogram this morning. They just wanted to check on the baby's size. Our baby is already big; 3-pounds, 10-ounces. Everything is perfectly fine; he's in the normal range. It was funny the baby was really kicking during the entire test. It was neat to see the baby's heart beating. The baby was continually turning as the nurse tried to look at various body parts. It took the nurse forever to get a good picture of all the chambers of the heart. Once she finally got those pictures, she went to take a picture of the spine. Our little baby right on cue rolled over to avoid showing his spine. Our baby is being difficult even before he's born. That's my boy (yes, we checked he is still a boy).

It's Not Even Safe to Go Golfing Anymore....

I went to the Yale Golf Course after work on Thursday to prepare for this weekends Tournament. When I got back to my car this is what I’ve found.

I haven’t even had my car for a year. I was lucky the person left a note with their phone number and name. The police took a report and got all information. His insurance should take care of everything but it’s still a pain in the you know where. Well, at least the practice helped me tie for 5th in the tournament.

This weekend we celebrated Rich’s birthday.

We had pizza at my parents house. Here is the picture of the century – My mom eating pizza (if you know my mom this is historic).
