Pre-Christmas Get Together

Last Saturday we went to Mom and Dad's house with Vicky, Rich, Becca, and Richie. We all met up with Auntie Joyce and Ed for a pre-Christmas meal. It was nice to see everyone. We need to get together more frequently. I agree with my Mum, everyone thinks too much about presents this time of year and really the best part about the Christmas season is spending time with friends and family.

See how involved setting them up is

It's that time of year again

You need to beware of wild, roaming, rabid dogs! This one only comes out when it snows. Bogey loves catching the snow as I shovel it off the deck.

Do you see a difference?

I've been trying to lose a little bit of weight like everyone else before the holidays. I also had an ulterior motive, to get the best life insurance quote possible when we upped our coverage. So here is a picture from November 1st:

And this is a picture from today, do you see a difference?

I hope to stay about the same weight. I feel better and look better. I just need to keeping getting off my butt and doing something exercise-wise. I'll worry about this after I get a 5-Guys burger and fries (I'm only human).

Happy Retirement!

Congratulations on your first day of retirement Dad. Now you can start wearing white shoes and belts (or red), and your pants up around your chest. Go out and enjoy your retirement.

Saying Goodbye to a Great Dog

Monday was a very sad day for us, we put our pug Sandi to rest. She had a great long life and brought us so much joy. She will be greatly missed.

Kenny at play

Last week I took Kenny out in the back yard to get some fall pictures. I got a few shots of him in the yard, before he remembered the rocks under the deck. Then, I could not drag him away.

Last Thursday I spent pretty much all day making a gingerbread house for Christmas. When constructing, you have to let each side and top set before you can proceed. I finally got it done during Kenny's nap, and took a couple pictures of it. Geoff got home and I showed him my hard work. I was moving plants and picture frames off of the TV stand when CRASH... Kenny thought it good enough to eat. He grabbed it and it broke all over the floor. Here is it's final picture mangled in the trash. :(

The poor house didn't even last a day, not even an hour. I thought the hardest thing was going to be not eating all the candy off by Christmas. So sad.

Did I mention I like food?

I was going through the pictures on my phone and I noticed I have a lot of photos of Kenny eating.

"Do I have something on my face?"

"No, really do I have something on my face?"

This was Kenny's alternate Halloween costume - cannibal/zombie. We replaced the blood with Burger King ketchup.

Kenny's new favorite activity is to dip things in ketchup, honey mustard, frosting, .... But instead of eating the fries he dips them and then sucks the ketchup off the fries. He is also know to double dip, so avoid sharing sauces with him.

My Little TV Watcher

Well, Kenny has discovered the TV. I should clarify he has discovered the remote works the TV. As you probably already know, Kenny loves anything with button that make noise or has lights. So naturally Kenny loves pressing the buttons on our remote. I was finally able to get it on video.

We celebrated Vicky's birthday last weekend here are some pictures of that.

The old lady blowing out her candles.

Kenny showing off his tongue (again).

Dad trying to figure out how to use the camera.

Me using my new camera.

Vicky using her camera.

Becca in her soccer uniform (she scored 2 goals that afternoon).

Vicky examining her child - no blood, go on and play.

Kenny chowing down on goldfish; wearing yet another lion shirt.

Kenny hiding behind the curtains.

Kenny and I bundled up ready to go home.

Now I remember why I married Heather, she is so pleasant to be around :0)
