Kenny's Doctor Updates

Kenny had his 9 month check-up yesterday. Everything went well. He left happy and all smiles, probably because no shots were required. He weighed in at 25Lbs,14Oz's, and was 30 1/2". That puts him in the 95Th and 97Th percentile for height and weight. Everything else was good. His favorite part was the tongue depressor he got to chew on during the visit.

Yesterday I also noticed that he is starting to cut his fifth tooth. It is amazing how fast they are all starting to come in now. He loves to get his teeth brushed, although I don't know how well they are actually getting clean. He tries to clamp down and suck on the brush. It is a struggle to keep the bristles moving.

Sorry no new photos, he is tearing paper behind me in the floor. Hope it wasn't anything important.:)

Nice Weekend

This weekend was the first in a while where I didn't have to work on Sunday. We had plans to go to church, then I wanted to paint the laundry room. Neither happened, Kenny slept to late from his nap, and there was too much prepping the room for paint. So it will have to get done during the week.

On Saturday, Geoff and Kenny met me after work to go for a walk at the reservoir. It was a nice day. We wore t-shirts for most of the walk till the end when I had to put my sweatshirt on. We tried taking a cute family picture by the water. I think we got a winner in the end, but it was a struggle to get Kenny to look at the camera. Here are the funny progression of photos.







Just a couple more pics of our week. I thought because Kenny's hair is getting so long now that I'd try to spike it up after his bath. I think he looks more like a lollipop kid from the "Wizard of Oz".

Happy and Healthy 9 Month Old

OK, I know it isn't official till tomorrow. But I know if I wait till tomorrow, I'll forget. I tried to take some pictures today of my cute 9 month old, but it is getting harder to get him to look and be still long enough for the camera. Here are some of the better attempts.

Just Like Old Friends

Yesterday Kenny and I met my friend Karen at the mall. We haven't seen each other since my baby shower. It was so nice to see her and her son Killian. Killian was in his carrier in his stroller and Kenny was just sitting in his. They spent most of the time staring at each other. We sat them next to each other to take a picture, and Kenny with his spastic arm movements, proceeded to smack Killian right in the face. Poor baby, he didn't cry though, just looked shocked then smiled.



These were our best attempts to make them both look at the camera.

When Babies Attack

Today we went to the outlet mall for some shopping for all kids. With all their birthday's coming between April and June, it will be a busy couple months. Kenny had a very good day out. While I shopped in the kids store, Geoff strolled him around all over. When they came back, I was shocked to see Kenny still awake. He was almost 3 hours over due for his nap, and still very happy and alert. I think his favorite past-time is people watching. It seems to keep him occupied where ever we go.

Snow Day

Kenny and I are having a wonderful snow day. I can't believe all the snow for so late in the year. I kept thinking that the weather people would be wrong and we'd only get a dusting. I didn't realize till I got to work last night, but I had to stay till 1 a.m. My luck the only day I'm on late and we get the most snow of the year. The roads we great last night. Of course, I was the only on it. So after both of our long morning naps, Kenny had a bath, and dressed, so I decided to go film crazy. Here are a couple short ones of just how fast he is growing up.


This is Kenny's new favorite game. I build the blocks and he knocks them down. Note that he must get them all even the last two that are still standing. He is a little camera shy, or this would normally not take so long.


This is Kenny starting to self feed. He has only gotten a few in his mouth the last couple days. It is very hard not to step in and help.


And lastly, the only way he'll crawl right now is when he is hungry, and you've got the bottle across the room. Note all the fake crying, that stops instantly when he finally gets to you.
