Why do we buy expensive toys?

That is the question I keep asking myself. Kenny is happier with Tupperware that falls out of the cabinet than any other toy he has on his shelf. Last month I started to put toys away, and give them back to him, to make them feel new. When I realized he spends more time with these two bowls we gave him, than any other toys. I know it may be long and a little boring, but here is a video of Kenny with his favorite bowls.

I also know that I haven't been updating pictures a much as I have in the past, but Kenny is sooo mobile now that it is hard to get him to stay in one place long enough for the flash. Here are some pictures from today.

And lastly, one more video. I think this is Kenny's first word besides Mommy and Daddy.

Doesn't it sound like cheese?

Oh What a Window!

We finally got new windows in our living room. When we bought the house the windows were hazy. The seal between the panes of glass was broken so we got condensation. The other reason we needed new windows was in the winter when it was really windy, you could see our shades move ever so slightly. Here is a picture of our old windows (see how hazy everything looks).

Now look at our new window, Heather and I like to refer to it as a high definition window. Heather spent the entire afternoon looking out our new shinny window.

Kenny has been helping me pick out only the best golf balls to use.

Kenny has finally gotten to try out his rocking lion that Grandpa got him. He really likes it.

Mama's Retaliation

Today was such a gorgeous day! I decided to get dress early, and take Kenny for a nice walk. Were we going to do a bunch of laps around our block?,...no, too boring. How about taking a stroll to the little lake near our house? No again. I decided to go where Kenny and I would have a wonderful cold treat waiting for us. Yup, we walked to Dairy Queen. It was great, we shared a crispy chicken wrap, and for desert, a caramel sundae with whipped cream. It was so tasty. I think we'll have to make it a weekly habit all summer long.

Too bad Geoff was so mean, and covered my poor baby with a red x, and dress him in that awful uniform, or I might have brought him back something. Oh well, (shrug), what can you do. I know Kenny won't like cheering for the losing team all the time, and chose the better team.

Pride of the Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!

Heather desecrated our blog by posting pictures of Kenny in a Red Sox uniform. Kenny cannot read yet he thought he was wearing a Yankees uniform. Kenny prefers the classic pinstripes and NY of the Yankees uniform. He is no "idiot" (self reference of the 2004 Red Sox). He prefers to imitate gentlemen with class like Joe Dimaggio and Mariano Rivera. The Yankees are superior to the Red Sox in every way; more championships, better stadium, better players, better fans (I hate Ben Afflack), better city, more hall-of-famers, better closer (Mo is the man), better uniforms, and they even have better haircuts! I also don't like Boston and their psuedo-cradle of higher learning - Havard. No self-respecting person would attend Havard instead of Yale - Go Bulldogs, Boola Boola!

Look at the happy Yankees fan!

(The Yankees outfit has been washed and cannot be returned. The Red Sox uniform has been cut-up into tiny pieces, burned, and fed to the dogs. Any future postings of Kenny with any Red Sox clothing will result in this blog being taken down, you've been warned!)

I'm also including a few more pics from Kenny, Becca, and Richie's early birthday party.

Kids getting ready to blow out the candles.

Kenny going getting wired on sugar.

Kenny thought the dog was a Red Sox fan.

Here are also some pics from our Boston trip.

Week Update

I just realized we hadn't updated the blog in a week. Here are some pictures to quiet the grandparents. Last Thursday we had a early birthday party for all the kids at our house. Our family from England was still here and wanted to celebrate. I think it was just an excuse to eat cake, but who's gonna turn down cake and presents. The kids had a blast together. Kenny and Richie wore their matching outfits brought over from England by their Great Nana. Becca was also wearing her British Dress and Sweater.

Kenny was having a good time opening,...

and tasting all his presents.

Kenny found Geoff's club the other day. He had a very good time wielding it around. Look out dogs here comes Kenny!

Kenny also got new bath toys for his early birthday, so he had his first big boy bath this morning. He had soo much fun. I tried to take video, but he just wanted to grab the camera.

He was so happy in the tub splashing and crawling, I don't know why I haven't done it before.

And lastly, for all the Red Sox Fans that read the blog. Look at the next photo fast, before Geoff edits this post...

Yes Kenny even has the socks to match. Thank you Grandpa, Gammy Pat and Auntie Denise.
