Walking Tall (Well Almost)

Kenny on the verge of walking. He takes 2, 3, or 4 steps going between me and Heather. He's getting more adventurous. He'll now stand up in the middle of the room while not holding on to anything and walk towards us or the dogs. It's a funny Frankenstein-like walk. There is very little movement at the knee joints and his arms are flailing wildly.

Kenny was playing with his toys that we keep in a small wicker box the other day. He threw all the toys out of the box and then climbed inside.

I love this face, it's the "I'm so proud of myself" pose.

We also went to my parent's house for dinner this past weekend. Vicky, Rich, Becca, and Richie also joined us. Kenny likes spending time with his cousins.

When you start walking you also start falling down (well, more often at least). Kenny has his first bruise. It's a very minor one above his left eye. We went to church this Sunday and he bumped his head against a table. Here's a picture but you can see it very well.

He looks a little drunk in this picture because I put Bourbon in his sip-pie cup to easy the pain of his tremendous wound.

Here it is if you were having a tough time seeing it.

He's a quick healer. You couldn't see it the next day.

Kenny just being goofy.

Doc Brown Hair?

Our sweet baby has been waking up with this crazy hair only described as Doc Brown's hair from "Back to the Future", so I decided it was first haircut time for Kenny. Last week Geoff and I were walking around West Hartford center, and found a hair salon for kids. I thought it might keep Kenny's attention long enough for his first trim. Wow, was I wrong.

The dropcloth only lasted seconds. I'm glad I had extra clothes in the bag, because he,(and I) were covered in hair.

hmmm, should I sit and let this happen, or try to run away?

Ok, I'll sit nice,...

NOT. Mommy has to be the restrainer.

I wish the big dog came out sooner, oh well, Kenny loved touching his big nose.

Sorry picture of a picture never comes out very good, but here is my little man. Doesn't he look so handsome?

On a side note, thank you April for coming and being our photographer today, I don't know what I would have done without you!

What a kook!

Kenny is really starting to talk now, although it is mostly gibberish. He has got this new laugh that sounds painful. He holds his breath, and lets it out in little bursts. Here are some cute videos we took the other night.

Here's the laugh, very weird and funny!

Kenny brushing his teeth.(Notice all the drool, and toothpaste dribbling down his belly.)

This is just me trying to get Kenny to go through all his words he knows, because I can't get him to do them in front of anybody else when I ask.

So Hungry Yet So Tired

Well, Heather worked at the Cleaners yesterday so Mom and Dad watched Kenny. I picked Kenny up when I got out of work. Kenny seemed to be quite tired and hungry when I got to my parents house. Kenny didn't get too far home before falling asleep with his hand in his snack jar.

My Dad's car was hit this weekend while we were at a funeral. The driver of the other car tried squeezing his car through two lanes of parked cars. He ended up hitting three cars before he was finally stopped. This is the damage to Dad's car.

One Cool Baby

Kenny and I met Heather Saturday when she got off of work. It was a beautiful sunny day and Kenny seemed to enjoy the protection of my sunglasses. Doesn't he look stylish?

Kenny is getting so big so quickly. We have reached another milestone in the baby world, Kenny can now be front facing in his car seat.

Where are we going Dad?

He's weighed enough to be front facing for awhile now, we were just waiting on the height. He's already taller than one of his 2-year cousins. We just need to get Kenny walking. We brought Kenny to the playground at the mall last night. He loves crawling around. You can tell he wants to play with the other kids so hopefully this will push him to begin walking. Kenny is already beginning to slim down quite a bit. Heather was changing Kenny yesterday and she said, "What's this? Can I see your ribs?" I heard it from the next room and though it was funny. I miss my little Winston Churchill look-a-like.

No Mommy, I can feed myself!

Last week I was feeding Kenny lunch when he grabbed the spoon and tried to feed himself. I hope it was just a fluke thing, and he wont want to everytime. If so, I'll need to buy a drop cloth, cause it's gonna get messy!

Friday was such a nice day Kenny and I went out for a little picnic on the lawn. He loved watching the dogs run around and playing on the rug. His ball rolled off and he went to get it on the grass. The feel of the grass made him cry. He never got off the rug again, no matter how much coaxing I tried.

Kenny Visting Grandpa's House

Heather's Dad and Pat just got back from Cheyenne Frontier Days. So we went to visit them so they can see Kenny and also to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. We also got to see April, Sofia, Kayla, Auntie Carol, and Uncle Bob. Here is a picture of Sofia playing with some toys Carol brought for Kenny from Heather's cousins Coreen and Dave.

We also got to see the wild life that exists around Heather's Dad's house.

Turkeys-

Deer-

And rabid children (the reddish eyes are the first sign of rabies)-

Here are some pictures of our baby bull eating (have we ever put up pictures of Kenny eating?)

Here are my far distance paparazzi photos I took of Heather. I took them from way across the table.

Hmmm, chicken

Wait, did I leave the stove on?

Pat getting my favorite type of workout - baby lifting

Happy Birthday, but let's Go Grandpa, I want cake!

Kenny had a great day but was exhausted by the end of the day. This is a picture about 10-minutes into the car ride home.
