On Tuesday we brought Kenny to the kids museum near us. Geoff took the day off for golf, but it turned out to be a terrible weather day. Kenny had so much fun running around, and playing with everything. First he played in a car that he could turn the steering wheel, and play with balls that levitate with air. He carried one of the balls all over the museum. Next we went to a toddler area that was underwater themed. I think he was a little scared of some of the nooks because they were a little dark. It took a lot of coursing to get him to go down the slide, but once he did, he was pushing other kids out of the way on the stairs.

"Hop in Dad, Where can I take you?"

Whee!

We went back upstairs to pick carrots from the ground. Kenny thought the carrots belonged in the buckets. If you tried to put them back in the ground he got very mad. There was also a chalk board that he loved. Trying to color with as many chalks as possible. When he was done, it looked like we cleaned the board off with Kenny. He was covered head to toe in chalk, even his shoes still have pink chalk on them. We all had a fun day, and can't wait to go back on a day with longer hours. Two hours isn't long enough to see everything.

Soda Face

I was drinking soda out of a cup a few days ago. Kenny came over and grabs my arm and pulled it towards himself so he could use the straw. Kenny made one of the funniest faces I've ever seen. I don't think Kenny likes the taste of soda but you can decide. We re-enacted the original incident yesterday.

Finally Outside Weather!

Last summer when we went to Cape Cod, we realized that Kenny is a outdoor kid. This spring is no exception. This past week we have spent a lot of time outside. I've been taking walks at least once a day, sometimes twice,(Bogey is very tired on those days). When ever we come in, I have to bear hug Kenny to get him in the house and quickly shut the door. He cries for a couple minutes till I give him snacks, juice, or show (his 3 favorite words).
I tried to take some pictures, but Kenny is in his no time to stop, blurry phase.

Busy raking.

Investigating the sand for clues.

Even Bogey happy outside with her ball.

Why Do People Own Pit Bulls?

I think everyone knows the trouble my sister and Morgan had with a pit bull. I thought I would share the following story I saw about pit bulls. I don't see why anyone would want to keep one of these dogs around a family. Luckily, no one was hurt in this story.

http://www.btls.com/news/stories/dog-attacks-police-car.html

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - A makeshift lock on a chain link fence was no match for the dog employees at Mann’s Welding call Winston.

The 80-pound pit bull mix managed to break free Sunday. That’s when Michael Emerling received a call from police.

“When they said he attacked a car,” said Emerling, “I wasn’t prepared for what I saw.”

Winston chewed the front bumper of a patrol car completely off, bit through two tires, and left teeth marks in the side panel of the vehicle.

The Chattanooga Police Officer behind the wheel was clocking speed when Winston launched his attack.

The Officer was sitting in his car, filling out a report when he says the car began shaking. That’s when he got out of the car and discovered the dog attacking his car.

The Officer used pepper spray, and then a stun gun but not even that could stop the dog.

“The dog apparently rolled over and started chewing on the prongs, pulling them out of his skin,” said Officer Rebecca Royval, spokesperson for CPD, “then he kept going.”

Royval says when back up arrived Winston then chewed the tires of the other patrol car.

Eventually the dog was captured by animal control officers, with the help of one of his owners.

“Obviously at some point yesterday he was not a nice dog,” said Emerling, “but previous to that he was very sweet.”

Emerling says Winston will occasionally show aggression toward lawn equipment, but has never hurt anyone.

Still, after this incident Emerling says he can’t risk what could happen if Winston attacks again.

“We can’t take the chance that the next time something sets him off it won’t be a car,” said Emerling, “if it were a person — we just can’t take that risk.”

Tonight it’s unclear what the future holds for Emerling’s pet. The dog is being held at the McKamey Animal Center. His owner has been cited, and will appear in court.

Is Our Baby Growing or Nacroleptic?

On Monday Kenny was very grumpy. He was probably tired. Here is how much Kenny slept Tuesday.

Midnight-9:45
2-4:45
9-12

That's 15.5 hours out of the last 24-hours. Kenny is either growing again or he is narcoleptic. Speaking of narcolepsy, here is a video of the only Poodle that I like, Skeeter the Narcoleptic Poodle. Enjoy.

Peek a Boo

Today has been an adventurous day so far. Kenny slept 12 1/2 hours last night. When he woke up, he was happy and talking up a storm. Nothing like the grumpy crying kid of yesterday. I vacuumed and scrubbed the sticky juice and milk off the floors. It made me feel SO much better. I showered and filled the tub for Kenny. As I was going in his room for towel and washcloth, I mentioned down the hall to him that it was his turn to take a bath. Before I could get back into the bathroom, he had jumped in with pajamas and diaper.(Note to self: Always be completely ready before opening mouth.)
After the bath, we took Bogey for a walk. It is a very nice day today. We got back in and I pour myself a ice tea. As I was putting the pitcher away, Kenny grabbed my glass and poured it all over my clean kitchen floor. After cleaning the floor for the second time today, I made lunch. From the pictures, can you tell Kenny had taken a bath a hour and a half earlier?

Standard Day Around Here

Hello Nana,

I had a regular Friday. I woke-up and was very hungry. As you can see I ate low fat turkey sausage and strawberries. Doesn't that sound wonderful. I hear that they call sausage bangers in England. I wonder what they call strawberries then. Hmmmmmmm?

Like I said Nana it was a normal day around here. Mommy took Bogey and I for a walk. It made Bogey very tired.

Daddy and I read some books before bed. Nickelodeon Jr. says you should read to your children for 20-minutes a day. I think Daddy is working too hard then. We read a lot more than that.

I miss you Nana. Have fun.

Love,

Kenny-

Sad to See Nana Go

We told Kenny that Nana was going on vacation and that he couldn't see her for about two weeks. He was very upset.

We're glad to hear that she arrived safely. Enjoy the trip and tell everyone "Hello" from us.

Bon Voyage!

We went to Nana and Granddad's for dinner Saturday night. Heather worked until midnight the night before and had to open at the cleaners. She went directly from the cleaners to my parents house and arrived about 20-minutes ahead of us. No problem, Heather can sleep anywhere and took a cat-nap in her car while waiting for us to arrive. I thought it was funny.

We went to Nana and Granddad's so Nana could see the kids before she heads off to England for a few days to visit relatives. As we were leaving she chastised me for bringing my camera and not taking pictures. So to make her happy I took a few before I left.

Birthday Bashes Galore

We have celebrated Heather's Birthday twice since we last blogged. We went to Nana and Granddad's to celebrate awhile back.

"How old am I?"

"I want that cake Momma!"

We didn't get to go to Heather's Dad's house right away because of a few snow storms. These are a few of the very well fed birds that live in our front yard. Heather feels bad that they have trouble finding food in the snow.

We may have lost one of those birds. I was at the opposite end of the house and I heard a huge bang. We had this bird print on our front window. I'm not sure if the bird could have survived. It's a little difficult to make out.

Kenny has become quite the clapper. He likes clapping with his favorite television show, Yo Gabba Gabba, or sporting events on tv.

We did finally make it to Pat and Grandpa's to celebrate Heather's birthday. Kenny really likes playing with his cousins.

Here Kenny is telling us no for some unknown reason.

Wiping his runny nose on his sleeve.

Getting ready to throw Grandpa's Red Sox hat in the trash (that's my boy!).

Clapping for cake this time.

This year's cake was much better than last year's when April and Heather tried decorating.
This year's:

Last year's

Kenny is going to be Charlie Chaplin this year for Halloween.

He loves ice cream.

"Burrrrr, ice cream is cold." Kenny shrugs when he eats cold things.

Kenny did something very funny yesterday. I was folding his laundry. Kenny picks up a shirt and holds it under his chin like I would in order to fold the sleeves. His folding technique needs work. He just balled the shirt up and handed it to me. I wish we had the camera, it would have made a great video.
