More Snow to Come

Hmmm, this is how much snow we already have in parking lots in the area. We are supposed to get 6-12" more over the next few days. Where are we going to put it? People who are in Hawaii right now better bring us back some nice weather (or other swag).

Where Would You Rather Hit Golf Balls?

Let's see this is where I hit golf balls this weekend:

And someone I know hit balls here:

Gee, which one would you prefer?

Shapes and Colors with Kenny

Heather and I were drawing with Kenny the other day. Heather was making shapes with different color crayons and asking Kenny what they were.

Heather - "What is this shape Kenny (she drew a red circle)?"

Kenny - "A circle."

Heather - "What is this shape Kenny (she drew a blue square)?"

Kenny - "Square."

Heather - "What is this shape Kenny (she drew a yellow crescent moon)?"

Kenny - "Banana!"

Kenny knows his favorite foods.

Oh the Humanity!

This is what we woke-up to this morning. I need to move, that's all there is to it (Heather and Kenny can come if they want). I just can't take this winter anymore. Have I mentioned that I have played golf since November 1st? This is not helping. Kenny has forgot what grass looks like. When you open the door for the dog to go outside she runs away. When will it stop?

Fun Sunday

This Sunday we went to brunch at the Cheesecake Factory. We were celebrating Dad's birthday and Mum and Dad's 40th Anniversary. Congratulations to them. I can't believe my Dad got married at the age of 9 though. Funny to celebrate Dad's 49th Birthday and 40th Anniversary at the same time. I think Dad may be fudging his age slightly.

Kenny really enjoyed the Cheesecake Factory. He ate almost a whole kid's pizza but left room to eat some of Heather's ice cream also.

When we back from gorging ourselves on great food, Kenny and I watched the Steelers beat the New York Jets. Kenny was really getting into the game waving his Terrible Towel as the Steelers scored. Kenny is excited that the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl. We're working on teaching Kenny to say, "Here we go Steelers, here we go!"

What Does 29-inches of Snow Look Like?

So, we officially got 29" of snow yesterday. With the snow drifts if Kenny was standing in the backyard we wouldn't be able to see him in certain areas. Did I mention I hate snow? This is really setting back my golf schedule.

Enough Snow Already

We got about a foot of snow Friday just in time for my commute home. My normal 35-minute trip took about 2:10 minutes. I hate snow. The one good thing was that Kenny and I got to play in the snow Saturday.

A couple of cool pictures of the tree in our front yard.

"Snow!!!!"

"Have you seen my ball?"

"You think it's over here? I'll find it."

Reverse Snow Angels

Look at the condition of a Christmas card we got from England. It obviously had a rough trip across the pond. The envelope is actually supposed to be white not brown. There is a nice footprint on the front. It was damaged so badly that it came in a plastic bag saying it was damaged.

Christmas Revisited

I realized we only blogged about Christmas Eve and not too much on Christmas itself. Well, here is a little synopsis of Christmas morning at our house.

Kenny woke up and started opening gifts. Crayons were a big hit.

Carl got Kenny a neat Hess Truck and Plane Combo. He really liked how it lights up and makes noise.

Heather picked up this cool dinosaur bank at the Big E earlier this year.

Heather and Kenny enjoying one of her gifts. It's a blanket that has a pocket on the bottom so your feet don't come out of the blank when you pull it up.

"Why use one crayon, when there is 64 in the box?"

Kenny and Daddy calling it a night early.

Boxing Day was more playing with toys. Kenny really liked the train sets he got for Christmas.

Can you guess what this is?

It's Bogey wedging herself under the ottoman trying to reach a M&M that Kenny dropped that rolled under the ottoman. So sad looking.

Boy, my son sleeps in some weird positions.

Kenny In The Snow

Heather took Kenny out in the snow about a week ago. Here are some pictures and videos of the event. Kenny had a great time. He liked pretend falling and eating the snow off his mittens. We are getting more snow today, so hopefully we can make a snowman tomorrow.

"Ummm, snow."

Such a Smart Little Boy

Kenny is really aware of his environment. The other night Heather and I were talking about Kenny going to playgroup at the local school. Heather said, "Kenny do you want to go to school tomorrow?"

Kenny, "Yeah!"

A few minutes later we put Kenny's coat on to go to the grocery store. We pulled out of the driveway and went to the end of the street. We went right, which is the opposite direction of the school. Kenny began to scream and whine. "No!" We confused him by talking about school and not going to it. It's amazing our 2-year knows the direction we go to arrive at - the post office (doesn't like), school (likes), Nana's house (even knows the exit and loves this trip), Stew Leonard's (really likes this one too) and many more.

Two-seconds later Kenny says, "Cow?" He knew we were going in the direction of Stew Leonard's which has an animatronic cow. We have a strange love/hate relationship with this cow. He loves going to the store and looking at the cow, but he hates getting too close to the cow or hearing the cow moo.

The Cow is at about the one minute mark.
