How is Your Roof?

So Monday I parked my car in my normal spot. I park next to a church and it appeared that someone plowed a pile of snow against the curb in the center of the street. It seemed weird but I really didn't think much about it. When I returned to my car to go home I noticed that the plowed snow wasn't actually plowed but has fallen off the slate roof of the church.

Notice the pile of snow in the bottom left and the fence that has been bent and collapsed. You can see that part of the tree was destroyed also.

I'm surprised the roof didn't cave in first.

Here is the railing that is suppose to stop the snow from falling off in one lump. It was ripped out of the roof.

I'm glad this happened over the weekend and not while I was parked on the street.

This Weekend

So this

combined with this

Lead to a weekend of clearing off roofs. I cleared/helped clear two roofs this weekend. Here is what is came off my parents roof. It almost takes as much effort to clear it off the sidewalk once you get it off the roof.

We brought Kenny to the mall this weekend. Kenny has not liked the little rides that you see in the mall. We decided to try Kenny in a little truck this weekend. He really liked the truck. He even ran back to get in the truck when we were walking by on the way out.

We also went to Heather's Dad's house to celebrate Heather and April's birthdays.
