Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We wanted to post a quick picture of Kenny and his new favorite toy the Sleep Sheep. It plays sounds like a Whale, heartbeat, rain and the ocean. It attaches to his crib. Kenny chewed on the Sleep Sheep for a good 5-minutes. We assume that means he liked it.

Here is a picture of Kenny and his cousins from last night. You will notice no one is looking in the same direction.

And finally one of my Christmas gifts - Heather's Dad's Cheesy Potatoes. I will be eating the leftovers for dinner tonight! Ummmmm.

Part Baby, Part St. Bernard

So it has become evident that Kenny has officially started the teething phase. From the constant drooling,
and finger biting,
and even the occasional face sucking,

Sorry to the victims, Richie and Aunt Joyce, who we saw this past Sunday. But how can you be mad at a sad face like this?

O Christmas Tree

This weekend we got our Christmas tree. It is a tall, skinny tree this year. Taller than I expected. Just thought I'd post, while Kenny is quiet. I'm hoping he takes a long nap. So far today, he hasn't. He was also up last night at 1:30am. I think his teeth are starting to come in. Poor baby!
Here are a couple of quick photos I took today.

Winter Has Arrived!!!

Well, winter is definitely here in Connecticut. We woke up this morning to about an inch to two inches of snow.

Do you know what this is?

How about this?

Ok, we'll make it easier.

That's right it's Bogey.

Bogey loves the snow. She enjoys it when I shovel the deck off. Heather took some video as proof.

Here is Kenny with his first snowman.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving

We had a busy Thanksgiving. We went to lunch at my parents house with Vicky, Rich, Richie, and Becca. I realized we don't have a lot of pictures of everyone together so I broke out the tripod.

Kenny and Nana, Kenny didn't get any turkey but a fist works just as well.

Richie showing everyone his belly.

Becca wearing her nice holdiay red sweater.

We then went to Heather's Dad's house for leftovers. I was so stuffed I didn't eat much. April, Peter, Sofia, and Kayla were there. The tryptophan was kicking in so we forgot to take photos.

We also have video of Kenny talking to the dogs. It's really funny. He thinks Bogey and Sandi are great.

Baby Gangs

So our friends Chris and Amy just had their second child, Nina. They posted the following picture on their blog:

She is throwing up gangs signs and flashing colors already.

I hope her and Kenny can get along. As you can see Kenny is an OG from way back.

Mr. Modest

Not much is happening here. I'm having a great pj day. I'm starting to feel like a slacker today, so I decided to post. Kenny hasn't been taking his nice long nap of the day for a couple days, so hopefully I have enough time to do this and a shower in before he wakes up. Now that he is eating cereal and food, it is wonderful. I not sitting and feeding him all day. The only draw back is the amount of poop. It seems every diaper has poop. During changes, Kenny likes to grab his feet and without modesty, show everything. Most of the time I have to take them out of his hands, just so I can stick the diaper on him. Here is a photo, although I had to put the diaper on first. I didn't want too humiliating of a picture for the future teen Kenny.

Kenny has been a bit annoying when on his play mat. He now rolls directly onto his belly, the second we place him on it only to scream a couple minutes later. This repeats over and over.I tried taking video by myself, so it isn't very good, and you may want to turn down your volume if playing it, because he is screaming pretty good.

Bouncy, Bouncy, Bouncy!

I taped Kenny bouncing in his chair today. Last night our Pastor George came over to discuss Baptism dates for Kenny. Kenny was very content being held by Pastor George, and then showed off his jumping abilities for a half an hour. He is so happy in there and jumps for close to a hour at a time. Geoff commented that he is tiring now, and can't even crawl or walk. I don't think it will be to much longer before Kenny does.

Kenny's second favorite thing now is to eat cereal, fruits and veggies. He smiles wide just putting him in the chair. He loves, loves, loves bananas and prunes. I didn't think he would, but I tried them and they taste like raisins. Here are a couple pictures of meal time. I should send this to Mike Rowe on the Discovery Channel, because this is a Dirty Job.

Hello Everyone!

Sorry, we haven't blogged much recently. We've been very busy with Kenny. Heather's been working evenings and I've been watching Kenny at night. He's not even crawling or walking and he's still exhausting. My home computer is down at the moment which hasn't help our blogging out.

Kenny now flips over from his back to stomach instantly. The only problem is that he doesn't flip back over to his back once he's on his stomach. So once his neck gets tired Kenny begins to scream. You flip him over to his back and he instantly rolls back over onto his stomach. It's pretty funny.

Hello everyone!

Aren't I cute?

Neck is getting tired, starting to crash. Oh no!

Happy Halloween

Friday was a day long of switching costumes, so Kenny could wear all the different ones we had for him. I started off trying to do my own photo shoot. I put fabric up in the backgound and the 2 pumpkins I got on the annual pumpkin raid at my dads. I even took some leaves from the back yard, which proceeded to crumble apart all over the floor. I was trying to make expert looking pictures with a just waking up, and hungry 4 month old. Here are the best pictures,(OK the only ones not blurry).Lions...
and Tiggers...
and bears, OH MY!

And lastly, a costume that he couldn't wear out of the house.
Baby Tarzan

This past week I have been giving Kenny cereal, and he has really liked what made it in his mouth. Tonight Geoff witnessed it and taped it for your veiwing pleasure. Now this is a week of training, so he is doing much better than Monday, where I don't think any made it in the belly. Please note the losing battle of spooning and respooning the cereal in there till he finally swallows it.

Catching Up

We haven't blogged in awhile but you must forgive us we're new to this whole parenting thing. Well, Kenny went to his 4-month check-up last week and Kenny is still big. He's off the chart in height and weight. He weights 20-pounds 3-oz and he's 27.25" long. The doctor said at this rate he can hold the door for his mom at his next check-up. Everything is else is fine, Kenny is a normal, very healthy baby.

A picture of our chunky monkey getting ready for Halloween.

Heather went to her Dad's house a couple of weekends ago for the annual Pumpkin raid. They go into the farm next to Heather's Dad's house and get the left over pumpkins. I though this was a funny picture of Sophia trying to lift a pumpkin that probably weights more than her (Kenny probably weighs more than her also).

This picture is of Kayla looking disgusted at her dirty hand.

Last weekend we went to my Mom and Dad's house to celebrate my sister's birthday a little early. It was nice to see everyone all together, we hadn't done that in awhile. I thought the best part of the day was everyone kept asking Becca how old her mom was. I told her that Vick was 47 and she kept repeating this every time you asked her how old her mom is.

Rich occupying Becca and Richie with a book before dinner.

Ummm, lemon birthday cake!

Richie likes ice cream and cake.

Kenny laying on the floor playing with mom. It looks like he is trying to pull her hair and rip her nose off.

Making Noise

Kenny started making noises the other day that we have never heard before. We recorded it for future blackmail. It’s really funny, listen closely.

Hamburger Reviews

Being the connoisseurs of hamburgers that we are, this past Saturday Heather, Kenny, and I tried the new hamburger joint near French Cleaners in West Hartford. The Counter Burger (http://www.thecounterburger.com/) opened just a few weeks ago. The format is like Chili's old build a burger promotion. They give you a clip board and with a list of options you can choose for your burger. There is burger choices from 1/3 all the way up to 1 pound. There are some foo-foo options like honey cured bacon, avocados, spicy chili's, baby greens, and hard boiled egg. When we got to the store at roughly 4:45 there was a wait of 15-20 minutes. The place is very small and there was not a lot of seating. Kenny was great. He didn't fuss during the wait at all. He enjoyed looking at all the people and waitresses that were running around. Here is a picture of Kenny enjoying himself.

We eventually got sat about 40-minutes after we arrived. So Kenny was approaching his limit. The burgers do not come with fries but you can order them as sides or appetizers. It was nice to see that they had sweet potato fries but we didn't try them. The fries were ok, you could tell that they were just frozen fries not fresh cut like Five-Guys or Fuddruckers. Kenny proceeded to lose it as soon as the burgers arrived. They told us that all their burgers were cooked to 150* (med/well) unless otherwise requested. The burgers were not very good at all. Mine was cooked quite a bit more than Heather's since I had a 2/3 lb burger. It was charred. I was not very impressed. The bun was bland and the extras were just ok. I had tomato, honey cured bacon, lettuce, and American cheese. The tomato was really hard, like it wasn't ripe enough. The bacon was ok but it could have been cooked more. The lettuce and cheese were ok. The worst part of the whole thing was the price. Our burgers, fries, and soda cost about $37 with tip. We could have eaten at Five-Guys twice for what we spent at The Counter Burger (not that we need to do that). So my review is that the Counter Burger is not worth going to. Save yourself some money and go to Five-Guys-Burgers and Fries. The burgers there are much, much better than the Counter Burger.

Tasty Fingers

I guess many kids like to suck on their thumbs. Kenny on the other hand has taken a liking to his first two fingers, the pointer and middle. When we put him down for nap or for bed, we can hear the slurpy sucking of these fingers. He hasn't cared too much for his thumbs, which he has on found a couple times. We have also had to put a bib on Kenny all day, because of the drool. The amount of saliva that comes out can soak through the bib in 10 minutes. Here are some quick photos I took today of him enjoying his jumper.

What a happy baby!

MMMMM, YUM!
