Big Boy Beds, Lunch, Party, and Golf

So quite a bit has happened since we last blogged. A couple of weekends ago we turned Kenny's Crib into a Big Boy Bed (Day Bed). It's essentially the exact same bed he had before minus the side which was replaced with a bed rail. The first night we put Kenny in the bed you would have thought we were hurting him. Kenny screamed for over 20-minutes, then Heather went in to calm him down. He then screamed for another 20+ minutes. We put him back in the bed and he screamed for another few minutes. He then fell asleep on the floor next to the door. The screaming decreased each night and now he is pretty much sleeping in the bed with no fuss.

We had to do a better job of baby-proofing Kenny's room. We put Kenny down for a nap and he decided to explore everything in his room first. He now has baby latches on every drawer.

We went to Nana and Granddad's for lunch on Saturday. Kenny enjoyed lunch especially the cookies.

Kenny then got ice cream at Dairy Queen after dinner. This is not a normal day of eating for Kenny I promise. He really likes Blizzards though.

We went over to Heather's mom's and Tom's house on Sunday for a party. Kenny got to see his cousins. He really enjoyed the two wading pools that were there. He enjoyed taking the toys from one pool and throwing them into the other. He repeated this process over, and over, and over again. Kenny refused to stop playing in the pools even though he was shivering. We had to dump the pools to keep Kenny out of the water. Thanks for having us we had a great time.

Dad and I played in the CT Father & Son Golf Championship yesterday. We had a great time playing (we would have had a better time if we played a little bit better). It was a beautiful day we played with some other really nice guys and we hit some really good shots. Just wait till next year. Thanks for playing the tournament with me Dad. We have to wait a few years and we can see if there is a three generation tournament we can play with Kenny.

Unfortunately, the course didn't look nearly as nice as the picture off their website. The hot weather has really taken a toll on all the course in the area, some are much worse than others.
