After we walked around Heinz Field we also headed over to PNC Park, where the Pirates play. It's a really nice looking park that reminds me of Camden Yards in Baltimore. The only problem is that the Pirates play there and they aren't that good. We got to walk around the stadium, there doesn't look like there is a bad seat in the house.

As a Yankees fan, I hate this statue and Bill Mazeroski (and the 1960 Pirates).

Roberto Clemente, one of the true gentlemen who's number should be retired by all of MLB.

We also visited the site of old Forbes Field where Mazeroski hit the walk-off HR to win the World Series versus the Yankees. The site of Forbes Field is now part of the University of Pittsburgh campus.

Carl had to stop by the Steelers Shop to make sure his Godson is properly outfitted at all times. HEEEAAAATTTTHHHHHH!

Going through my camera, I realized I don't have a picture me and Mrs. Brown. Clearly an oversight on my part and an excuse to go back to Pittsburgh to visit Carl and his Mom.
The first night in Pittsburgh included dinner and Pitt basketball. Carl said I had to try the Original Hot Dog Shop right next to the Pitt Campus.

They had great hotdogs and no one should ever order more than a small french fry if you visit. Everything is bigger in Texas and Pittsburgh I guess. This was a small french fry (yes covering an entire cafeteria tray). Mom would have liked the fries here, fresh, hand-cut, and piping hot.

Here are the sizes, so you can only imagine that a large could serve 8-10 people.

Well, what did we do after loading up on hotdogs and fries? That's right there is some of the best homemade ice cream right down the street at Dave and Andy's. We stopped there to load up on ice cream to ensure that we would not be getting out of seats at the Pitt vs. Oakland basketball game. If my Dr. is reading this blog please stop. You will not be happy about the calorie and cholesterol intake on this trip.

The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was fantastic.

We caught a really good game. Pitt went into overtime to beat Oakland. Does anyone even know where Oakland University is? It's not Oakland, California. It's located in Rochester, Michigan.

Thank-you Pitt for helping destroy my NCAA Tournament bracket this year.

After the basketball game it was time to rest for the Steelers Game Day.
